Everyone was a pleasure to work with. Office staff is very friendly and helpful. The crew went above and beyond. They were professional, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable on how to handle delicate furniture. I am now using them for the 2nd time this week. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Do not hesitate to used them for ANY of your moving needs.

When I called to book, I spoke to John. John was very professional and helpful. I just wish that he gave me more insight into what to expect on moving day. Other companies were cheaper, but I went with FS because of John. He agreed to throw in shrink wrap on storage furniture for free and informed me to remind the guys on moving day.

I'm going to attempt to summarize a very long, hectic day. Long story short: I payed hourly for 3 movers to assist me in my move. Some items were to go to storage, some to a new street address. The move was very rushed on my end so I was actively packing when the 3 guys arrived. They were visibly frustrated by this. One guy was especially "huffy". To their credit, they came to work. They were all hard workers. I had planned to load up furniture while I continued to pack. That's not what the guys had in mind. They wanted boxes first, and understandably so, but I had never used movers before so didn't know what to expect, and as I said, it was a rushed move. They needed to adapt instead of making the day more stressful. It was just a bit chaotic and my lack of prep added to that I'm sure.

there were some large furniture items that i wanted to discard and as it was painful to do it on our own, crew did help me take them to the dumpster for me for no extra charge. They were professional in there work and worked till 2 AM at night to finish everything. One of our expensive lamp was broken in the move but the company let me chose one from amazon and overnight shipped it to me. Over all I was very satisfied with their service and will give them 4.5/5. MUCH better than the 'nationally recognized' movers. I will recommend them for your next move.

On a positive note, the 3 guys came to work. The one who ended up quitting was the most pleasant and hardest working of the 3 so that's unfortunate.

My suggestions for improved service would be to inform people of exactly what the guys will want to do on moving day and what's ideal. Also, inform your movers to be patient and understand that moving is stressful and they are being hired to ease stress, not add to it.

Now, 2 weeks later as I settle in, I am still making multiple trips to and from storage because things that were marked for storage came to the house and vice versa. 1 item of high importance was left on the truck and just returned this week.

We moved in July 15 and has a great experience with the crew. I have had terrible experience with previous 'nationally recognized' moving company and hence I wanted to stay local where i can go knock on a office door if something goes wrong. We had asked for full pack and unpack quote and they came on time on the day of moving but had underestimated the amount of stuff we had. They wanted to charge us more as the stuff was more than they quoted for but since I had someone come before the move to review the house and then give a quote, it was easy for me to argue against any price increase and they were professional about it. Also the crew were not aware of unpack part of the move until mid aftnoon when I told them about it. We were already late.

All in all, I hope this was just a "bad day" for them, but I certainly wouldn't hire again.

We hired Fresh Start Moving Services for a large move after comparing them to many large and small competitors. The experience start to finish was awesome. John, the owner and his staff were very professional and nice to work with. They were not the least expensive out of the 4 estimates received and not the highest either. During the sales process, we found John to be the most professional, thorough, flexible and responsive out of all the competition who came out to provide estimates. Come moving day, the entire process went extremely smooth, they were on time, Fresh Start wrapped everything they moved in blankets and not one piece of furniture was damaged. This was a big move with a lot of very expensive, very heavy pieces of furniture, lots of expensive art work, floral arrangements, etc and the owner worked with his staff of movers every step of the way. We are extremely satisfied and would absolutely recommend Fresh Start Moving to anyone.

Great work I would recommend to friends

So once the truck was packed, I went with the 3 guys to storage. 2 of the 3 began to bicker, which got uncomfortable. Once the truck was just about unloaded at storage, I gave Joe, the driver, my storage unit keys and told him I'd meet them at the address shortly. Over an hour and 15 min later, they finally arrive at the address. It's only 2 movers, not 3. I called John and was informed that 1 of the 3 (who was involved in the argument) had quit. So now they should have been no more than 20 min behind me and I paid for 3 men, hourly. A small discount was offered after I pushed a bit, but not suffecient in my opinion. Then, I asked for my storage locker keys before payment. Joe looked for about 2 min and couldn't find them. Then he said "I don't know what to tell you. I can't find them." Unacceptable. They also left their hand truck inside my storage locker so I had to take more time.out of my day to meet John back at the locker to retrieve their hand truck. When I returned to storage to meet John, i realized that none of the furniture was shrink wrapped as promised. I had reminded The guys of this twice. No effort was made to make that right. The keys were found later in the day and returned to my mailbox thankfully. John was on damage control much of the day.
